As editor in chief at Zondervan Publishing House, managing editor of Word Books and director of publications for Kregel, Al Bryant had a wealth of resources and knowledge available to him about the best Christian literature had to offer. There is no doubt in my mind after studying the history of the Christian People that even though style and also language uses to some extent in the world changes, the issues we all face in the world do not. Many books written in the recent and even ancient past are still relevant in today's world, offering an excellent resource at good value for insight into living a Godly, fruit filled live through Christ today.

Climbing the Heights: Daily Devotions
Foreword

In the stress and strain of life today, God's people often find themselves charging along without spending sufficient time in prayer and meditation upon the Word of God.  It is not surprising then that many of us are not spiritually equipped for the daily battle of life.

The purpose of Climbing the Heights is to partially provide God's people with spiritual foundation and basis for their day by day lives, to supply them with at least part of their daily spiritual requirements for a healthy Christian life.

The compiler feels that he himself has been spiritually strengthened in the many hours of study devoted to the compilation of these devotional thoughts from God's servants of today and yesterday.  It is the prayer of the publishers and of the compiler that this series of daily devotional meditations will be used of the Lord to strengthen His people spiritually and to more completely equip them to live the victorious life in Christ.
