From the book Foreword
Stanford King, a native of New York City and a a teacher for over 40 years, is currently teaching in San Diego with over 80 pupils per week!  He is already well known in the piano educational field, having written 35 books and over 300 separate pieces of sheet music.  Mr. King is a product of the Manhattan School of Music and the Institute of Musical Art at Julliard School, both in New York City, where his teachers included Aaron Copland and George Wedge.

This album reflects Mr. King's broad musical experience in a delightful variety of styles.  In addition to the rhythmic benefits inherent in the syncopations, many pieces are also excellent technical studies.
