Publisher Summary
First published as Good News for Bad People, this brand new edition, Broken People, Transforming Grace, follows Roy Hession as he seeks to renew the tired Christian’s spiritual fervor by magnifying the glorious truths of the gospel. He does this through ten detailed word studies, where he investigates topics such as reconciliation, grace, forgiveness, cleansing, justification, repentance and glorification.

My Summary and Conclusions
In Broken People, Transforming Grace, the intended purpose for the book was fulfilled. Author Roy Hession explains in clear language understood by regular people ten essential words used by Christians and their concepts.

I particularly was inspired and learned from his exposition of Colossians 1: 26-27, and specifically the phrase Christ IN you in chapter two, thinking that this chapter was the best in the book. No doubt readers will discover what is best for themselves and it most likely will not be the same as mine.

Broken People, Transforming Grace is written from the Western Christian point of view, that being a one momentous moment of salvation from which there is never another like it.  Hession addresses this theological premise by means of explaining the importance of a live, living faith after that one moment because if that is all that matters then everything will be downhill, so to speak, from then after.

About Roy Hession (from the CLC Publications website)
Roy Hession, a successful evangelist in England, knew he had lost the power of the Spirit in his life, a terrible feeling as he led his evangelistic campaigns. In 1947, Hession met leaders of the East African Church which was then experiencing a sweeping revival, and recognized his deep personal need. It was like starting the Christian life over as he came humbly to the Cross.
