Audience: Women
Pam Vredevelt is a licensed professional counselor. In this book she relates stories of how healing has taken place in women who have been hurt in relationships--by family members, friends and others. What spoke to me was her story about the woman and the jar. A woman drew a picture of a jar with a big crack down the middle that couldn't be repaired. After experiencing healing and realization of herself as a child of God, the crack was still there, but now with God's light shining through.

I also like that the book is clear and instructive without a lot of extra writing thrown in--I recommend this book.

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL BOOKS FOR WOMEN Recommendations by Mary Katherine May

Reviewed by Mary Katherine May of QualityMusicandBooks.com.

How wonderful it is that God has created every one of us special and unique—unlike any other person that does, has or will exist. Each of us, a beloved child of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has been called to fulfill a specific purpose within our families, our church and the world.

Families are also unique, each in various shapes, sizes, and make-up. Life experiences—the happy, the sorrowful, the lows and highs—all will be used to glorify God and further His kingdom.

Barbour Publishing has within its current publications for Christian women value-priced devotional books that will speak directly to their own needs. From the Mommy to Be Devotional Journal, through the Whispers for Women series, on to the 365 Daily Devotions for Women with inspirational stories taken from Christian women throughout history, and ending with the Light My Path for Grandparents, there is truly something for all women at an affordable cost.

For example, the Whispers for Women series has inspirational writing that relates to the life-experiences of single mothers, busy women, and mothers of young children. The Devotions for Women has stories that include the grandmother of the great hymnwriter Fanny Crosby, the famous singer Marian Anderson, and evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman. Each includes Scripture verse and practical application suggestions.

I will tell you that I personally appreciate Barbour Publishing for the company's commitment to excellent publication for Christian life that is also easy on the pocketbook.

I recommend these books. ... babamarusia (My favorite is the 365 Daily Devotions for Women!)

EVERYDAY PRAYERS Rachel Quillin Book Review

Everyday Prayers: Spiritual Refreshment for WomenRachel Quillin
Barbour Publishing 9781597890687
Scripture taken the King James Version of the Holy Bible
Flexible cover

If you are a woman with a life that has nearly every waking moment filled with family, work and activities this is the book for you.

If you know of a woman with a life like the above, this is the book for her.

Women are caregivers, and most women enjoy both giving and getting thoughtful, touching gifts that may or may not have a particular occasion associated with the moment. We give because we love and care, and share the lives of others.

In the small book, Everyday Prayers, housed in a beautiful flexible cover, are prayers for occasions that occur throughout the day, week, month and year. They are short--and because they are, they can be prayed in less than a minute. The prayers are in everyday language such as we use in everyday conversation, and they really fit well with our thoughts.

There are prayers for all kinds of thoughts that come along--for times when we know of lots of people with problems, when we don't accomplish what we want to during the course of a day, when our children are with children who might not have Godly behavior, or when our behavior doesn't measure up to our Godly standards...

The book will fit nicely into most purses, and the cover color and art are soft-- it can be given to a friend or loved one wrapped up, or by just adding ribbon!

I recommend this book. ... babamarusia
